Welcome to the NEARVET Community of Practice (CoP), a ground breaking initiative that spans across 6 EU countries, forming a vibrant hub of collaboration dedicated to advancing applied research in Vocational Education and Training (VET). Our CoP is the heartbeat of a dynamic transnational collaboration that seeks to answer a pivotal question: "What are the needs of applied researchers in VET, and how can we meet them?"
We're thrilled to share news about the launch of local Communities of Practice in Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Sweden! Each country cluster will bring together approximately 120 practitioners, diving deep into the local specificities of applied research in VET, all while communicating in their native languages. This innovative melding of local and transnational CoPs guarantees a rich tapestry of insights, methodologies, and innovative approaches to be shared and expanded upon.
Communities of practice are essential gatherings of individuals united by a shared passion or concern, learning and improving together through regular interaction. This definition by Etienne and Beverley Wenger-Traynor underscores the essence of our CoP - a collective committed to enhancing competences and fostering innovation in VET through collaboration and shared experience.
The Heart of NEARVET: TRANSNATIONAL CoP
At the core of NEARVET lies our transnational Community of Practice, consisting of approximately 50 practitioners from partner organizations across 6 EU countries. This diverse group is united by a shared interest in applied research in VET, collaborating to share experiences and develop collective practices. Through workshops, seminars, and the creation of learning materials, our goal is to cultivate a sustainable learning community that thrives beyond the project's duration.
Empowering LOCAL CoPs
In alignment with NEARVET's strategic vision, local CoPs in Sweden, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus will focus on addressing country-specific issues in applied research in VET. These local clusters offer a unique platform for practitioners to engage in targeted discussions, workshops, and seminars, fostering an environment where localized knowledge and innovations can flourish.
The synergy between local and transnational CoPs is facilitated through regular interaction, ensuring the seamless exchange of best practices and innovative strategies. The NEARVET Digital Hub plays a pivotal role in this process, serving as a central platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, thus acting as a conduit between the local and global VET communities.
